Wedding Receptions at Wrackleford
Wrackleford offers a wonderful setting for a wedding reception either in the unique rural setting of the Shooting Lodge or in the more formal Wrackleford House. All our events are personally hosted by Oliver and Katie Pope whose family have made Wrackleford their home for over 150 years making sure that every detail has been taken care of to make your day a success.
The facility fee includes accommodation for up to 9 persons, however if you would like more guests to stay at the Estate we can provide further accommodation if required. Hosts can bring their own wine if they wish with no corkage fee.
We can also incorporate fishing and shooting for your guests to make your weekend truly memorable.
The Shooting Lodge Wedding Receptions
The Shooting Lodge caters for intimate wedding receptions for up to 30 people seated or 50 for more informal occasions. Its rural hill top position commands spectacular views south towards the coast and guarantees a perfect setting for your day. The lodge is a short drive by private farm track from the village of Stratton. The facility fee for the Lodge is £4,800 (inc VAT) and includes:
- Accommodation for 9 guests in 5 bedrooms for 3 nights
- Welcome supper on the evening before the reception for residential guests
- Full English breakfast for residential guests
- Lakeside picnic lunch for residential guests on the day after.
- Personal management and organization of the Wedding Reception
- Exclusive use of the venue for 3 days
Wrackleford House Wedding Receptions
Wrackleford House is a fine venue for Wedding and Private functions. Its Georgian facade overlooks the river Wrackle that runs through the garden, opening out to water meadows and the larger river Frome beyond. Located between the villages of Stratton and Charminster it is only 5 minutes from the centre of Dorchester. The facility fee for the House is £6,580 (inc VAT) and includes:
- Accommodation for 9 guests in 5 bedrooms for 2 nights
- Welcome supper on the evening before the reception for residential guests
- Full English breakfast for residential guests
- Personal management and organization of the Wedding Reception
- Use of the main receptions rooms and conservatory for the Wedding reception
- A perfect setting for a Marquee for up to 200 persons in our riverside gardens
