The Fishing – (Max Groups of up to 13/14 people)
The Estate offers 8 chalkstream fishing beats, suitable for up to 11/12 rods per day, and a Stillwater lake that can accommodate a further 2 rods. Each beat is prepared with mown banks and convenient benches to watch the water, with most having a fishing shelter in case of inclement weather.
Instruction / Equipment and Guides
A qualified instructor is on hand to help iron out technique, guide and spot for either individual or float across a group of fishermen. Full Equipment is provided for fishermen with an instructor.
Guests are welcomed with a breakfast, before moving onto the river for the morning fishing session.
Either a lunch hamper can be supplied to each fishing beat, or we can prepare a meal at our lakeside Lodge for the whole group. In both instances all drinks are included.
Fishermen can continue to fish until dusk, however tea is provided mid afternoon.
The Georgian family home of Oliver and Katie Pope, the house offers accommodation for up to 9 people in 2 doubles, 2 twins and a large single. Each room is individually furnished to a high standard, with ensuite bathroom and television.
The Shooting Lodge (* min 4 rooms for 3 nights)
Set at the heart of the Estate, high on the downs, the lodge is a unique property with stunning views south towards the coast. It offers accommodation for up to nine people in 1 double, 3 twins and a single room. Two twins are en suite, and the remaining king-size, twin and single share a bathroom.
Dinner is offered either at the Wrackleford House dining room, on at the Shooting Lodge
