The Beat

1 Rod - River Frome - 1/2 Mile - Fishing Hut

Double bank beat with fishing hut set at the base of the beat. Suitable for a single rod however this can easily be paired with the 7 Hatches Beat for additional rods.

The Fishing

Waders are helpful but not essential. The lower part of this beat is slow moving, and exceedingly deep with enticing pools under the far bank. The mid section has good runs through the reed, areas are shallow, but don't be fooled there are some deep hole and large fish here ! The top pool below the bride is always fun to fish. invariably there is an audience from passers by who like to stop and watch.
